For the first time in more than a decade, consumer prices in China fell in November
According to data released by the Chinese Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday, consumer prices fell 0.5 percent in November, compared to the same period in 2019.
There has been no example of a decline in consumer prices in China for more than 11 years, most recently recorded in October 2009, when the price index also fell 0.5 percent. Analysts, by contrast, predicted a 0.8 percent rise after a 0.5 percent expansion in October, which was also the mildest figure for 11 years. (MTI)
