The size of the areas involved in organic farming in Hungary would be more than doubled
The size of the areas involved in organic farming in Hungary would be more than doubled during the next fiscal period of the European Union, between 2014 and 2020 – Tóth Katalin, Deputy Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM ) responsible for Parliamentary, social and international relations announced on Saturday in Budapest at the 26th Organic culture academic day .
Tóth Katalin by describing the action plan on the development of organic farming said, that the size of the areas involved in organic farming in Hungary would be increased from the current 130 thousand hectares to about 300 thousand hectares until 2020. The fundamental aim of the action plan is to increase the size of the areas involved in organic farming and the number of livestock living among ecological conditions as well. (MTI)
