More than 80,000 visitors at 39. MIA
Almost 1,500 represented and direct exhibitors occupying 100,000 m2 and laid out according to a new expo format, which focus on food & beverage proposals.
MIA was an specialist showcase of food
and beverage in eating out and large-scale distribution from 14-17
February. It provides an extensive overview of the innovations and
trends in food consumption. Among visitors were restaurateurs, fast
food chains, catering firms, food and beverage retailers as well as
wholesalers and public venues like hotels, bars and night clubs. MIA
also offers an occasion for professional updating by presentations,
training courses, tasting sessions, contests and meetings. It is held
simultaneously with four other expo events for the food and beverage
trade: Pianeta Birra Beverage & Co, Oro Giallo, MSE and Food &
Beverage Logistics Forum, which together form the leading European
expo appointment for the eating out market.
In these four days at Rimini Fiera,
83,000 trade visitors [buyers from the large-scale distribution and
cash & carry trades, specialist wholesalers, distributors in the
commercial, modern and traditional food service sectors, purchase
managers for collective food service (scholastic, hospital, tourist,
corporate, military and religious), chefs and cooks, restaurateurs,
hotel owners, bar, snack bar, pub, beer cellar and take-away owners,
catering firms]saw the exhibitions. 39. MIA was not only a product
showcase, but also events, updating opportunities and business
suggestions. Organiser of MIA made almost 500 meetings between
Italian and foreign companies.
Also Hungarian-Italian Trade Chamber
brought 7 Hungarian firms to the exhibition. This firms got several
business meetings in this four days, thanks to them soon more Italian
products appear on supermarkets' shelves or in the restaurants.
The chamber continouses the program in
frame of 40th MIA in 2010.
