Seniors will receive food vouchers worth more than 70 billion forints

In a video uploaded to his social media page, Róbert Zsigó said that the food vouchers are already being printed, and those affected will soon receive them.

According to him, the vouchers, which are made in denominations of one thousand, two thousand, three thousand and five thousand forints, can be redeemed for cold food by the elderly not only in larger chains, but also in small shops in rural areas, markets and even at primary producers.

The State Secretary added that after printing, the vouchers will be placed in personalized envelopes and will start being delivered from September 1st, at a value of 30 thousand forints per person.

“In addition to reducing the 13th month pension, reducing overhead costs and reducing margins, we are also supporting the elderly with food vouchers,” underlined Róbert Zsigó.
