Aqua-Lorenzo Ltd. helped people in trouble due to a burst pipe with more than 68 thousand liters of drinking water
Aqua Lorenzo Kft., managed by the Mészáros Group, was among the first to join the community collaboration to provide immediate drinking water to the people living in Lábatlan, Nyergesújfalu and Süttő. More than 68 thousand liters of mineral water were delivered to the settlements in Komárom-Esztergom counties, where almost 14 thousand people were in trouble due to pipe bursts and other technical failures, as well as water network disruptions resulting from the subsequent restoration work, the company told MTI on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the water supply in the affected region was worrisomely disrupted in the middle of the summer heat wave. Thus, Aqua Lorenzo Kft., which is also a leader in charitable activities in the country, responded immediately and lent a helping hand through the water production company it manages.
“Our group of companies is well known for its commitment to social responsibility, so we knew that we had to help as soon as possible in this extraordinary situation! To reduce the suffering of the unexpected water shortage, we provided three truckloads of drinking water as immediate aid to the three settlements affected by the crisis”
– the announcement quoted Lőrinc Mészáros, owner of the Mészáros Group.
Aqua Lorenzo Kft.’s own bottled still mineral waters were urgently transported to the scene from the company’s Albertirsa site – the announcement states.
“Following quick consultations with the leaders of the affected settlements, we provided 45,360 bottles of 1.5-liter Aqua Minera mineral water to the residents of Lábatlan, Nyergesújfalu and Süttő. The donation was received and stored with the help of residents and local businesses. The mineral waters were delivered to those in need with the help of employees at the local governments,” added Tamás Bárány, the company’s managing director, according to the statement. Aqua Lorenzo Kft. is Hungary’s leading producer and distributor of mineral water, soft drinks and energy drinks, employing 150 people at its Albertirsa site, they wrote.
