The Chinese population spent more than 500 billion yuan during the Lunar New Year holiday in China
Spendings of the Chinese population during the Chinese Lunar New Year broke a record, although compared to the previous year it has showed a slowdown in growth – the official statistics show.
The retail and restaurant sales reached 539 billion yuan (1 yuan = 35 HUF) across China during the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations lated for one-week break – show the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce. This is a strong, 14.7 percent growth, compared to the last year, but at the same, the growth rate is lower than the 16.4 percent of 2012. (MTI)
