More than 50 programs are waiting for visitors on Wednesday in Budapest on the open day of tourism organized by the Budapest Festival and Tourist Center (BFTK) – Pap Mária, head of the BFTK Tourism Division told M1 news channel.
One had to be registered to the event before. Those who are interested in the open day can choose from programs such as Danube shipping, themed tours or factory visits.
Pap Mária stated: the BFTK has created the event among others to raise awareness of the Hungarian population, why Budapest is important in terms of tourism, as well as for the stimulation of domestic tourism.
She also added that the BFTK would organize similar moves at other times, for example, and in February on the World Day of Tour Guides. (MTI)
