More than 4.5 million forints go for children’s sports
With the help of customers, Persil collected a donation worth more than HUF 4.5 million in the framework of the national Persil for Children campaign in July. With this amount, the brand supported sports opportunities for children living in the most deprived settlements, and in addition, more than 1,200 families were provided with enough detergent for half a year. The campaign was joined by celebrities such as Olympic water polo player Gergely Kiss.
Pure joy, equal opportunities – with this appeal, Persil launched its month-long charity campaign on July 1st. For the past two years, the “Persil for Children” initiative has taken up the fight against hygienic poverty, thus delivering laundry detergent to the most deprived settlements in Hungary in order to reduce discrimination due to dirty clothes to as few as possible. During 2022 and 2023, the company distributed enough detergent for approximately 500,000 kg of clean clothes annually in collaboration with the Új Start Foundation, while more than 5,000 households received product donations, more than 40 disadvantaged children received scholarship support, and those working to catch up with children struggling with social disadvantages Biztos Kezdet Children’s Homes delivered enough for half a year to 176 institutions Persil gel.
During this year’s campaign, the focus was on sports, which, in addition to the beneficial effects of physical activity, also strengthens social relationships, so if the child does not have the opportunity to participate in it, he may suffer serious disadvantages. Those who bought Persil in July supported 5 associations with HUF 20 per product, where the money received is used for regular sports activities for children. In addition, the brand provided 1,200 households with enough detergent for several months, which they can use to clean approximately 500,000 kg of clothes.
