The beekeeping industry receives more than 42 million euros in support
The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) highly values the work of Hungarian beekeepers, which is reflected in the fact that we intend to support the development of the sector with a number of measures – said Minister of Agriculture István Nagy at the handover of the Fulmer honey processing plant in Dunavarsány on Friday, according to the ministry’s announcement.
The head of the ministry emphasized:
supporting the beekeeping sector and keeping the interest in beekeeping at an appropriate level is in the strategic interest of the Ministry of Agriculture and the government. The maintenance of the bee population plays an important role in the preservation of biological diversity, and the economic and social function of beekeeping is also manifested in the strengthening of the population retention capacity of the countryside and the provision of healthy food to the population.
The activity of beekeepers is extremely useful for the national economy and society as a whole, and is even indispensable for the preservation of our natural environment, the minister added.
