The best pálinka of the country was selected from more than 300 pálinkas this year
On 28 June it will be announced in the House of Parliament who prepared the best pálinka in 2018. For this year’s National Pálinka and Törköly Pálinka contest, 48 pálinka houses sent 307 items. These items were judged by 25 experts for three days.
Special distillates of wild fruit were sent this year again to the competition, but most of the entries were made from apricots, Irsai Olivér and plums. The results have been evaluated in the past few days, but only two members of the Pálinka National Council know who is this year’s winner until the awards ceremony.
