More than 300 pálinkas were sent to the Best Pálinka of 2018 competition
The Best Pálinka of 2018 and its producer will be announced on 28 June in the House of Parliament. For this year’s National Pálinka and Törköly Pálinka contest, 48 pálinka houses sent 307 items, and 25 experts were judged them in three days.
Special distillates of wild fruits were sent to the competition in large quantities, but most of the entries were made of apricots, Irsai Olivér and plums. The results have been evaluated in the past few days, but only two members of the Pálinka National Council know who is this year’s winner until the awards ceremony.
