The V4 countries to spend more than 300 thousand euros for the support of the region's tourism
The four Visegrád countries will spend about 302 thousand euros this year to support tourism in the region – Klára Dostálová, Czech Deputy Minister for Regional Development said in Prague on Wednesday, after the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia signed an agreement on the cooperation.
The support serves to promote the Visegrád region especially in Asia.
“The joint promotion of the Visegrád countries makes sense in distant countries such as in India, China and generally in Asia. At the same time, the United States, Canada or Brazil are also getting interesting for our region. South America is also interested towards our region. These countries show economic growth and there is a growing interest towards tourism, therefore our actions are particularly directed to these distant targets “- Klára Dostálová explains.
