More than 200 varieties were presented at the dessert grape exhibition in Pécs
Those interested could get to know and taste more than 200 different varieties in II. At the National Gourmet Vine Exhibition and Competition on Saturday in Pécs, the organizer, the Viticulture and Wine Research Institute of the University of Pécs (PTE), announced to MTI.

It was written that this year almost twenty exhibitors showed up with their products at the national event launched last year to promote table grape varieties and provide professional support for cultivation. In the morning, the specialists were able to participate in lectures, where, among other things, they could obtain useful information about the present and future of table grape cultivation in Hungary, organic farming, pathogens affecting plantations, propagation methods and agricultural drones.
Visitors could taste more than 200 different grapes
The professional jury chose the most beautiful and the largest cluster, the most delicious and the largest grape variety. In the announcement, they pointed out that the demand for professional support for the cultivation of table grapes has been increasing in recent years, and the interest in table grapes is also increasing at the national level. At the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between the PTE and the Agrobiotechnical Faculty of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Eszék, which will strengthen the scientific and professional relationship between the two institutions related to grape growing and breeding, the announcement states.
