More than 1,900 tons of used cooking oil were collected by Mol
According to the announcement issued on the occasion of the International Day of Biodiesel, tens of thousands of tons of cooking oil are used in Hungary every year. However, the treatment of used frying oil is solved only in the factory kitchens and restaurants, where the waste is transported and processed in an organized manner.
Frying oil used in households gets into drains or garbage, which is very harmful, deposits on the walls of the pipelines and causes clogging of the sewer, and appears in landfills as a material that is difficult to decompose – Mol pointed out. (MTI)
