The Hungarian Food Bank Association sent food donations to more than 17 thousand children
The Hungarian Food Bank Association, in the scope of its “Terülj, terülj asztalkám” competition aims to support Children's Day programs, where the association provides food donations for the children of families in need.
Compared to last year, the number of applicants for Children's Day programs has increased significantly. Unfortunately, Children's Day is no longer a carefree celebration for more and more children. Often it is not the lack of gifts, but the food shortage is the part of the everyday worries.
The Hungarian Food Bank Association supported the Children's Day programs of 150 settlements with sweets, dairy products, meat products, canned food, ice cream and soft drinks providing a better Children’s Day for more than 17 000 children. The events took place between early May and early June.
