Tesco customers played with more than 160,000 blocks for prizes exceeding HUF 60 million
In Tesco’s large-scale raffle, which ended at the end of February, customers filled 166,888 blocks in six weeks, of which 4,205 won shopping vouchers worth a total of HUF 60 million. The game moved the customers of all 197 Tesco stores in the country, as well as those using the online service. Most of the participants came from Szeged, Budapest, Békéscsaba, Debrecen and Nyíregyháza, and the 5 grand prize winners each took home the grand prize of HUF 1 million with blocks displayed in the stores in Bonyhád, Dunaharaszt, Kaposvár, Szeged and Szolnok.
The whole country was moved by Tesco’s raffle, which took place between January 15 and February 25, in which customers with a minimum value of HUF 8,000 could participate by entering the data of their block received at the checkout. Customers of all 197 Tesco stores in Hungary tried their luck, so in the end, 4,205 lucky winners came out of 166,888 filled blocks, who were enriched with shopping vouchers worth more than HUF 60 million. Among the users of the Tesco Otthonról service, 2,820 played with a total of 6,645 blocks.
The most active were the customers of Tesco Extra in Szeged, who participated in the game with a total of 5,237 blocks – this is more than 3 percent of all uploads. They are followed by the customers of the Tesco Extra on Budapest Váci út and Fogarasi út, the hypermarket in Békéscsaba, the Tesco Extra in Debrecen and the hypermarket in Nyíregyháza.
