The world economy may lose more than 1,000 billion USD this year
While China’s economic growth will be hard pressed by the effects of the corona virus, Oxford Economics analysts say the entire world economy may lose more than 1,000 billion USD this year, due to the epidemic – writes origo.
China’s GDP growth this year may be just 5.4 percent after last year’s 6 percent. The weakening is mainly due to the effects of the coronavirus – Oxford Economics analysts say.
However, Oxford Economics continues to expect that the truly serious effects will primarily affect China, but that, in the short term, global economic effects will still have to be considered. As a result, global GDP growth may fall 0.2 percentage points below expectations. (origo)
