Spain hosted more than 10 million foreign tourists in July
In July, Spain received 10.5 million foreign tourists, 10.1 percent more than in last July – the Spanish Statistical Office (INE) announced on Thursday.
Between January and July, 46.9 million people chose the South-European country as a travel destination, which is an increase of 11.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year.
Most tourists, 10.9 million, came from Great Britain in the seventh month of the year, followed by the
Germans with 6.8 million and the French with 6.3 million tourists.
Most of the foreigners, 2.5 million traveled to Catalonia, to the Balearic Islands (2.48 million), followed by Andalusia on third with 1.3 million travelers. (MTI)
