More Hungarian wine purchased
The Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI) keeps monitoring and publishing the world’s agri-food prices and trends. According to the latest market report, the production price of Hungarian potato was moving in the HUF 60-115/kg range on the 40th week and the average price was 26 percent lower than a year ago. In January-September 2014 10 percent more wine was sold in the domestic market and the processing sales price dropped 4 percent in comparison with the same period in 2013.
According to a Rabobank report, the poultry industry is about to strengthen worldwide in the last quarter of 2014. The European Union’s poultry sector is characterised by growing demand and limited supply. In the first half of 2014 the EU’s poultry meat export rose by 2.5 percent and import dropped 0.5 percent to 484,000 tons if compared with the first half of 2013. In Hungary poultry’s live weight production price was HUF 276/kg, 7 percent lower than in the base period
