The proportion of red grapes in Pannonhalma increased to its tenfold
The crop area of the red grapes increased significantly in the last decade at the Pannonhalma wine region – Kisalföld wrote in its Tuesday's edition.
Hangyál Balázs mountain judge told to the newspaper, that the proportion of red grapes increased from one to ten percent.
Most of the new varieties, that were installed are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Gamay. With this step, such grape types can return, that were grown until the beginning of the 50s – he added. (MTI, Magyar Nemzet Online)
