The country’s first Four Points by Sheraton hotel is celebrating its ten-year anniversary
The Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel and Conference Center, the city’s largest four-star hotel, made its debut in Hungary just 10 years ago.
The facility owned by the KÉSZ Group, which has been operated by the group since the beginning, for a decade now, was built in 2013 as part of a HUF 3.5 billion investment. In the past ten years, the hotel has won numerous renowned tourist awards and has also received an Architectural Excellence Award. The Sheraton in Kecskemét actively supports contemporary art and pays special attention to social responsibility, while implementing various sustainability efforts in a pioneering way in the sector.
The Four Points by Sheraton Kecskemét Hotel and Conference Center opened its doors in May 2013, as the brand’s first domestic hotel. The former Fémmunkás Vállalat four-story office building standing on the site of the building was reborn as a result of the KÉSZ Group’s HUF 3.5 billion investment and has since become the center of business tourism in Kecskemét. Another interesting thing about the history of the hotel is that the KÉSZ Group is not only the contractor, but also the owner and operator of the hotel, so the company group has been a part of and driving force in the development of the complex, and thus the development of the region, from the very beginning. In the past ten years, the hotel has clearly contributed to the tourism development of the city and the region, hosting numerous conferences and international events.
