Fifteen thousand packs of cigarettes in the crashing smuggler car
Fifteen thousand packs of cigarettes without Hungarian excise stamps were found in the car that crashed with another car on Tuesday in Nyírmeggyes.
Nine people injured in the crash – Dávid Zoltán, press officer of the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) informed MTI on Wednesday.
The finance guards seized the vehicle as well as the contraband cigarettes. The driver – who was hospitalized with serious injuries – have been prosecuted for committing financial fraud.
The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. (MTI)
