Fifteen percent more grapes grown this year
About 15 percent more grapes grown this year than last year. The winemakers are making a total of about 3 million hectoliters of new wine from this amount – Frittmann János vice-president of the National Council of Wine Communities (HNT) told MTI.
Frittmann János said that according to the preliminary estimate vine growers harvested crops excessing 413 thousand tonnes this year from about 58 thousand hectares. From this amount about 2.90 million hectoliters of new wine can be made. (MTI)
