Euro area unemployment rate stagnates at eleven-year low
The euro area unemployment rate stagnated in November at its eleven-year low – according to a Eurostat report released Thursday. The unemployment rate in the European Union has been at its lowest level since the start of statistics.
In November, seasonally adjusted unemployment stood at 7.5 percent in the 19 euro area Member States, up from the previous month. One year before, in November 2018, the euro area unemployment rate was 7.9 percent. The 7.5 percent in November is the lowest unemployment rate in the euro area since July 2008. (MTI)
