The volume of global air freight is declining for ten month
The volume of global air freight transported in tonne-kilometers is declining for ten month – according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The Montreal-based trade organization announced in a statement sent to MTI on Wednesday that the volume of goods shipped in August was down by an average of 3.9 percent, compared to a year before. This is the tenth consecutive month in which a decline has been detected and no such long negative period has been experienced since the 2008 global economic crisis. (MTI)
