A one-tenth decline in agricultural production
According to the preliminary datas; Hungarian agricultural production volume decreased by 10-11 percent last year – said Udovecz Gábor, the Director-General of the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI), on Monday at a press conference in Budapes
He added, that crop producing decreased by 15.3, livestock by 3.1 percent in 2009, compared to the previous year. The overall producer prices were 10.2 percent lower than in 2008. The producer price level of plant products was 14.0 percent lower than in the previous year, while the producer price level of the animal products by 4.3 percent – reports Népszabadság Online.
