The number of guest nights increased by ten percent in Romania
In Romania, the number of overnight stays increased by 9.9 percent to 8.415 million in the first five months of this year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute announced on Tuesday.
The number of guests was 4.307 million, which is an increase of 6.2 percent compared to last year. The number of domestic tourists increased by 10.1 percent to 3.386 million, while the number of foreign tourists decreased by 6.1 percent to 920,000.
Most foreign tourists came from Germany (95,000), Italy (83,000), Israel (77,000), France (55,000) and the United States (54,000). (MTI)
