Wienerberger donated ten million forints worth of roof tiles for the construction of the Tábitha Hospice House in Törökbálint
The “Being Good is Good!” fundraising activity has been launched for the thirteenth time, and this year it supports the Tábitha Children’s Hospice House operated by the Hungarian Baptist Charity. The institution in Törökbálint helps families who have to deal with the most difficult task in life: the incurable illness and loss of their child. Wienerberger Hungary Zrt. donated 10 million forints worth of roof tiles for the building. The company has been supporting organizations helping those in need for many years, and this year it also contributed a significant contribution of tens of millions of forints to the construction of new homes and the modernization of existing ones.
Hungary’s only children’s hospice house has been providing free help to incurably ill children and their family members since 2011, with expert medical care in a loving environment. Their goal is to provide undisturbed conditions for the little patients and their family members so that parents can give their beloved children everything they need to make the time they have easier for each other, supporting them in processing the separation.
The public media’s “Being Good is Good!” fundraising campaign, announced for the thirteenth time, this year supports the work of the Baptist Charity Service and the operation of the Tábitha Children’s Hospice House they maintain, as well as the construction of a new hospice house. For this purpose, Wienerberger Hungary Zrt. offered roof tiles worth 10 million forints, which were delivered to the site in November.
So far, they have helped nearly 300 families find housing
The company has been supporting families struggling with housing difficulties for many years in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity Hungary. Between 2021 and 2024, several significant projects were implemented through their joint work.
Wienerberger, in collaboration with Habitat, provided the tiles and accessories for the complete roof replacement of the Baráthegyi Residential Home of the Symbiosis Foundation in Miskolc for several million forints.
In the roof renovation program for seven disadvantaged family houses launched in Baranyaszentgyörgy in 2023, the entire roof structure of the houses was renewed, and Tondach roof tiles were installed. The cooperation was so successful that seven more families were supported in 2024. The reconstruction of six houses has already been completed, and work is currently underway on the seventh.
