Fourty percent of the Hungarians adults has bank loans
Nielsen market research company's representative survey of April states that Hungarians are less pessimistic of their personal financial situation than in March.
Compared to March those who think that the redemption of their foreign-currency borrowings are a major problem for them, decreased by 25 percent. Despite this, six out of ten people are still have major difficulties in the repayment oftheir recruitment foreign-currency borrowings. Four out af ten Hungarians adults have bank loans. Most of them borrowed in foreign-currencies, others in HUF and a small part in both. While in March’s survey, 65 percent of the asked said that they have serious problems with the repayment of their foreign-currency borrowings, it was only 49 percent in April. However at the same time those who think they can not repay their bank loans increased from 6 to 11 percent. The percentage of pessimists has declined since the forint strengthened in March, and banks are more prone to individual contracts, which can extend the maturity of the loan. of those who has a loan in foreign currencies face serious problem in the repayment. Fifteen percent of the respondents has savings.The pessimistic consumer public mood has also improved slightly compared to March. But Hungarians still assess domestic career opportunities negative.
