Ten Hungarian food manufacturers will present themselves in Japan
This year, the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC) appeared with 10 Hungarian exhibitors at Foodex, the largest food and beverage exhibition in Japan and the Pacific region, which started on Tuesday, AMC told MTI on Tuesday.
Based on their experience, there is considerable interest in Hungarian products in the Far Eastern country, where, in cooperation with the Hungarian embassy, they organized a businessmen’s meeting and a food industry seminar for Hungarian companies and almost 80 foreign buyers. AMC came to Foodex with a 100-square-meter community stand offering frozen vegetables, fruits, honey, duck and goose meat, wine, dried organic vegetable powder, cheese, sugar- and gluten-free grain bars, brandy to the attention of importers, they wrote.
According to the statement, the Tokyo event was preceded by a long wait, as it was last held in 2019 due to the covid epidemic. According to the Foodex website, products from 60 countries and regions were presented in the Japanese capital. At the event, which will last until Friday, the AMC will also provide space for its export development business, the Hungarian Food Business Program, in addition to the Hungarian exhibitors, whose digital platform already contains more than 2,000 products from 219 Hungarian food manufacturers, they added.
