Ten-year record in Argentine beef production
USDA analysts expect that next year as many cattle will be bred in Argentina as in 2009. The weakening of peso against the dollar has made it a great opportunity for young bulls to grow on grass, and the Argentines have also opened a new market in Japan – agrarszektor.hu wrote.
In 2019, the USDA forecasts the production of 3 million tonnes of beef (half-carcase) in Argentina, which is a ten-year-long record. Internal consumption will be 2.4 million tonnes, since Argentines consume 54 kg of this type of meat per head and every year. (agrarszektor.hu)
