Hungarian milk consumption should be increased to 200 liters per capita in a ten-year period
The sectoral strategic program carried out at the Milk Marketing Board wants to increase milk consumption to an annual 200 liters per person in Hungary.
Presently, the annual milk consumption and milk related consumption is about 160 liters per person. This quantity is about half of the EU average. The Hungarians, however, drink a significant amount of milk: 63 liters per person per year. With this amount Hungary can be found in the leading pack among the EU countries – reports MTI.
