The gross average salary doubled in ten years
According to the research of the Central Statistical Office; fewer people are employed in the private sector than at the beginning of the decade, but their average wages, however, exceeds the national averages.
The number of the private sector employees in late 2009 was 1.822 million, 3.8 percent less than in 2001. The decrease almost entirely occured in 2009. In other words, the companies responded to the crisis, with cuts in employment.
According to the survey of Merces; in the past year, the average income of the participants was 209 thousand HUF, while the median value of their salary was 180 thousand HUF – reports Világgazdaság Online.
