Kärcher, one of the world’s leading cleaning technology companies, launched its social responsibility program, the Klinart project, in Hungary on June 2. The initiative aims to restore the original beauty of urban spaces and monuments around the world and preserve their condition in the long term. The first domestic location of the project was the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest, where the company organized a unique conservation and art campaign: it cleaned the main staircase of the iconic museum, while a special inverse graffiti appeared on the staircase with the inscription “Ars longa, vita brevis” – Art is eternal, life is short.

Cultural heritage preservation with modern technology

Kärcher Hungary’s new social responsibility campaign is part of the international initiative launched by the company on the occasion of its 90th anniversary: during the program, 90 historical, cultural and world heritage sites around the world will regain their original beauty. The company’s long-term ambition is to contribute to the maintenance of our cultural values with the help of modern technology, while creating an inspiring and more livable environment for urban communities.

“The Museum of Fine Arts is an outstanding asset of our cultural heritage and an iconic location in Budapest. For the first time, a project will be implemented on the main staircase of the institution that uses the tools of contemporary urban art in the context of classical culture – for this, the museum staircase is the canvas, and Kärcher machines work like brushes on a special work. For us, cleaning is not only a technical task, but also a tribute to the heritage of the past. Our goal is to ensure that future generations can experience these locations in their full richness”
