The Minister is protesting because his name was used for advertising

The news that the reseller of the TICE cash machine’s distributor advertised itself with the political support of Varga Mihály Minister of Finances came into light on Saturday. The Ministry of National Economy distanced themselves in a statement. As written, the Minister has never met with the executives of the cash register company, the company has not even gone to industry consultation.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs denied to Népszabadság that the minister had met with company representatives. However, the TICE Kft. announced the following to tobacco tender winners in its letter:

“We are pleased to inform you that significant progress was made last week regarding the approval of the TICE cash registers. On Friday, the leaders of TICE Kft. were invited to the NAV to a consultation with the NAV’s President, NAV’s Vice President and Varga Mihály Finance Minister. In the name of the NAV, they informed the company, that the company’s system, according to the current tests is in compliance with the regulations”
