Drugstores are expanding. Body cream, deodorant, and diapers are the favourites
According the Nielsen market research company; The turnover of the Hungarian drugstores decreased by 4 percent, between August and September 2008, compared to the previous comparable period, thus, the size of the market exceeds 77 billion HUF.
The traffic of the major drugstore chains is significant, where customers can easily reach them. Many consumers take advantage of that it is easy to get the necessary products in nearby locations – says Jonathan Banks, European director of Nielsen.
Twenty percent of the Hungarian consumers said during the survey, that they mostly get lotion products and cosmetics in drugstores.
