Tesco in the city-centre?
Tesco Express is the name of the new small units to be opened in the citycentre of Budapest, the first store would open in Nagykörút – the news by Népszabadság have neither been supported nor denied by the spokesperson of Tesco.
The new store would open at the corner of Rákóczi út and Kaczincy utca, in the building of the former Csillag Store. However, no formal press material has been introduced so far, and Mónika Hackl, the spokesperson of Tesco has not supported or denied the news, saying no news from Tesco are public until official decisions about the projects have been made. She has added though that a series of new, smaller stores called Tesco Express would open in the citycentre to serve the neighbourhood living there.
