The companies of the region do not expect recovery
Deloitte prepared its first regional economic sentiment survey. In the summer 190 heads of large companies were asked about the prospects of the next 6-12 months. Hungary, Romania, Poland, Croatia, Czech Republic and Slovakia were the research area.
The 97 points cumulative value of the sentiment index (between 0 and 200 scale) reflects more caution and pessimism, but there are some positive signs and optimism in the companies' minds. Fourty percent of the asked, gloomily consider for the following six months, and only a little more than a quarter believe in a general economic upturn in the next six month. The darkest expectations came from the respondents of Croatia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while a small majority of Poland was optimistic – reports portfolio.hu.
