Unilever is expanding in China
The UK and the Netherlands-based Unilever has begun the construction of its third production base in southwest China's Sichuan Province – the Chinese media reported on Wednesday.
One of the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of branded consumer products, foods, cosmetics and cleaning products is building its new detergent manufacturing plant on approximately 27 hectares. The value of the first phase of the project will cost about 300 million yuan. The first products are expected to be manufactured in the plant in 2015. The plant’s annual capacity will exceed 200 thousand tons per year. (MTI)
