LG expands on the global e-sports market: Gen.G and LG UltraGear monitor brand enter into a partnership
LG Electronics (LG) is strengthening its presence in the fast-growing global e-sports market through a partnership with Gen.G Esports (Gen.G), one of the world’s largest e-sports organizations. The two companies will work together to further develop the international e-sports scene with LG’s category-leading UltraGearTM gaming monitors.
Gen.G, which ranks sixth on the Forbes 2020 list of most valuable e-sports companies, operates eight professional teams in the United States, South Korea and China that specialize in popular multiplayer games such as League of Legends, Overwatch and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Gen.G has also launched the Gen.G Global Academy of e-Sports, which offers innovative educational programs and supports key players in the gaming and e-sports market of the future through the company’s foundation.
