Tesco is expanding: it opened its 198th store in Venice
On September 12, the 198th Tesco store in Hungary and the 8th in Fejér County opened on Bence Hill in Venice. The store offers more than 4,000 products and a premium selection for local residents, as well as those vacationing and relaxing in the area, and through its partner, it offers a home delivery service of up to 30 minutes. The new store with a floor area of 350 square meters and equipped with solar panels provides work opportunities for 18 people, seven of whom are new colleagues. From the day of its opening, the Tesco Expressz in Bence-hegy is also involved in the national food rescue program of the supermarket chain, and donates to the needy five days a week through the Pusztaszabolcs Social and Child Welfare Institute.
After a long time, Tesco has opened a new store: in Venice, it offers a selection of more than 4,000 products, including premium products, to the residents of the area, as well as to those vacationing and relaxing by the lake, on 350 square meters.
“This is an important milestone for Tesco, and we are extremely pleased to be able to expand our network in such a beautiful environment, which now has 198 stores across the country, eight of them in Fejér County. Our Bence-hegyi store awaits customers with a team of 18 people, low prices and regular discounts and promotions, and our partner, Wolt, delivers the goods ordered from here to your home within half an hour.
From today, people living in the area can also benefit from the fact that, with the price reductions starting this week, we have significantly reduced our basic prices for nearly 2,500 products.
In addition, this week we also doubled the number of our Price Guaranteed products, added more than 700 more items, expanding the discounted selection, which until now consisted predominantly of own-brand products, with the most popular brand products. Of course, some of these also form part of the Bence mountain range.
In accordance with our sustainability practices, solar panels on the roof of the rented property already ensure the production of green energy, and we are proud that we were able to connect the store to our food rescue program at the moment of its launch, thus contributing to the reduction of food waste.”
– said Zsolt Pálinkás, CEO of Tesco-Global Zrt.
