Is Amazon really about to open its first off-line store?

On 22 October Amazon will open its first off-line store in San Francisco’s Westfield shopping centre. The company announced that they would open several seasonal ‘pop-up stores’ around the USA, so that customers get the chance to take new products such as the Fire Tv, various tablet computers and new Kindle e-book readers in their hands before the end-of-year holidays.
