The roof structure of the Miskolctapolca Cave Bath was completely burnt out, the fire was extinguished
On Friday evening, a fire broke out in the Cave Bath in Miskolctapolca, the entire roof of which was burnt down.
The flames were brought under control by dawn on Saturday, Zsuzsanna Rinyu, deputy spokesperson of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Disaster Management Directorate, informed MTI. The smoldering parts are currently being removed. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
The fire started in the saunas of the Aquatherapy department and then spread to the main building of the Cave. The roof structure of the approximately eight hundred square meter building was completely destroyed. Firefighters from Miskolc, Kazincbarcika and Tiszaújváros marched to the scene.
The Cave Bath is closed on Saturdays, however tickets purchased from accommodation partners can be used in the Ellipsum Experience Bath. On the social page of the spa, guests are asked to be patient, as slower access is expected due to IT system errors.
