The dairy sector expects full VAT cuts
The domestic dairy industry has stabilized and the domestic dairy industry started to grow – Mélykuti Tibor, Chairman of the Milk Product Council said adding that it would be important to extend the VAT cuts to all consumer liquid milk this year – origo wrote.
According to the President of the Milk Product Board, the effect of last year’s VAT reduction was positive, but because it did not cover UHT and ESL milks that defines the Hungarian liquid milk market, only 16-18 percent of the milk sold in Hungary was affected. (origo)
