Uncertainty in wine production
We do not know the amount of this year’s harvest, but so far it seems that the results of this year's vintage will be very diverse – Légli Ottó told Világgazdaság.
The Chairman of the Wine Communities National Council (HNT) told that frosts mainly affected the Sopron wine region and Hajós, Izsák and the Balaton regions. The unusually harsh storms occured in late July. Hail caused serious problems particularly for example in Badacsony, Balatonfüred, Csopak, the Somló wine region, while the worst loss occured in Lesencetomaj. (agrarszektor.hu)
