The Hungarian McDonald’s getting Greener during winter
McDonald's testing the usage of renewable energy in its Üllői Road restaurant, in the course of a 160 million HUF investment.
After the renewal, the first green McDonald’s in Hungary has opened its doors in November 2009 on Üllői road.
The solar panels run the pioneering energy-saving lighting solutions. The urinals are water-free the faucets use water-saving solutions. The Green restaurant’s daily average water consumption is reduced by 70 percent. The automatic grill and fryer equipment use 20 percent less energy than before. Leds were used in the outdoor lightings, achieveing 90-95 percent energy savings.
