Dairy Product Board: the EU support saves the milk producers
The EU support of 3 billion HUF (9.5 million euros) aid package is a significant help to the Hungarian dairy farmers – according to the Chairman of the Dairy Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board.
Mélykúti Tibor told MTI on Wednesday that Poland was given a grant of 22 million euros, which has a nine times more milk production than Hungary, while Slovakia received 2 million euros, with a half of production than Hungary. But, however, it is a successful move that Hungary received this support, with only 1.1 percent of the EU’s milk production – he added. (MTI)
