Milk from the producer
The dairy producing businesses are trying to get more income in the next few years with the increase of direct milk consumption – reports Világgazdaság Online the statement of the Vice-Chairman of the Milk Marketing Board.
According to Istvánfalvi Miklós the dairy producing businesses can eliminate the manufacturing companies and the multiple retailers because the profits appears in commerce. The purchase price of milk decreased in April by 38 percent, while consumer prices declined with only 5 percent. According to the surveys of the Milk Marketing Board, the direct sales (1.5 billion liters) give the 7 percent of the annual milk purchases. In a few years the rate could be increased to 15 percent which would meant 200 million liters on an annual basis and would improve the profitability situation.
