Talent in the bag
Yet another talented young chef has decided to leave after building up something. Roland Oláh has turned Café Erté into one of the best restaurants but is now leaving for the US. Many people around me are surprised by my decision, but I think that time has come for a change. I am 32 and I can still develop, so I want to learn. He has already worked in many places including hotels, the best fish retaurant in Budapest, Café Erté and even worked with Erik Schröter. I have learned a lot on my own in the past two years and I am proud of this, but I still have a lot to learn. I don’t want to produce mediocre performance in anything. This is why I need to take a risk now, but I am not planning to spend the rest of my life in the US.
