Technical failure or closure on Sunday?
The new Labour Code restricts the Sunday opening hours of shops.
According to the informations of Magyar Nemzet, the stores of malls, and the small shops of the shopping streets cannot open on the last day of the week.
According to the law, those commercial units should be closed on Sunday, that have a less than eighty hours operation time per week. The ban is applied on the traditional stores, not on those that are open on Sundays and holidays. For example, the law does not affect gas stations and restaurants, nor flower shops and non-stop food stores – Magyar Nemzet Online writes, after Hír Tv.
